FASHION DESIGN COURSE PROGRAM FOR 2 MONTH PROGRAM

 LANGUAGE:

About not speaking Italian, it isn't important; our courses are run also in English (by Italians' mother tongue teachers), explanations can also be given in French.

 

DIPLOMAS:
The certification to be received on successful completion of the course, the award of the Certificate of Attendance is based on participation only. A Certificate of Attendance will show the participant’s name, the title of the course and the study load. During and at the end of the course, participants will get feedback on their performance in exercises, assignments and/or (self) tests, so that they may improve their performance (formative assessment). A participant attending class but not working on the course content will also be considered as not participating, participants can ask for extension of the deadline for submission of the assignment.

 

UNIVERSITY CREDIT:

University credit must be according with the University the student comes from,

Italian Language Course: 60 hours=7 credits,

Fashion Course 60 hours=8 credits

Internship 160 hours=10 credits
 

INTERNSHIP: (Optional)

After the courses, it’s possible to attend an internship on the fashion design studio.

 

LOCATION: FLORENCE or PRATO  is situated in the centre of the fashion and textile sector. Since Prato is only 10 km from Florence and train transportation is both affordable and convenient. A train departs for Prato every 20 to 30 minutes and the commute is between 20 to 30 minutes long.  The name of the Prato train station is "PRATO PORTA SERRAGLIO" and is located 5 minutes from the studio.

 

LODGING:

The lodgings are in Prato or Florence, in apartments with others students (minimum staying one month). The apartment for students costs range are between 350 and 500 Euro monthly depending on location and whether one has a double or single bedroom. Students will share the kitchen, bathroom, and other common rooms with roommates. Students must be registered and confirmed no later than 30 days prior to their scheduled arrival in order to use this additional service. However, please note that the housing leasing agreement is between the student and the landlord. We do not take payments for the housing, we don't take responsibility for any personal problems or disputes that may arise between the student and the landlord. In addition, upon your arrival, transportation from the airport can be scheduled if so desired.

VISITS:  Each week we organize visit at fashion fairs, museums, historical towns, industries production, artisans companies, ateliers of artistes or others interesting places. Last day visit to Leonardo da Vinci town, with explanation of the application of art in fashion.
